The other day Sienna was 38.6 at 10.30pm so I decided to take her to the after hours doc to avoid a middle of the night trip if it didn't drop. It ended up being a loooong night at Starship (long story, stupid bloody kidney!) but turned out just to be a virus.<br />But technically anything over 37 degrees is a fever, altho between 37-38 degrees is considered low grade. If it gets to 40 you start heading into febrile seizure territory in susceptible kids so thats why I use 39 as my 'cut off'.]]>
