gezz, I think 10.30 is the middle of the night! Superhero Mums with twins and more eh!

Anyway, Cailin got through the night with no vomitting and temp is normal today. She didn't have the best of sleeps and is grizzly this morning but fingers crossed what ever it was yesterday that sparked her off is on its way out already

39 is my 'cut off' when I take them to the doc, but a bit of it is judgement too. The other day Sienna was 38.6 at 10.30pm so I decided to take her to the after hours doc to avoid a middle of the night trip if it didn't drop. It ended up being a loooong night at Starship (long story, stupid bloody kidney!) but turned out just to be a virus.
But technically anything over 37 degrees is a fever, altho between 37-38 degrees is considered low grade. Healthline told me this (and therefore take it if you like)

anything under 39 - take pamol and if there is a drop then no doctor is necessary (this is in the mid of the night - day doctor is recommended)

antyhing over 40 - doctor day or night

anything under 39 - given pamol and doesn't drop - monitor for six hours.

sweet, thanks ladies, gave her some pamol at 5 and has already dropped to 37.7.
I just wasn't sure if it was doc time or if pamol would be enough.
Will keep an eye on her of course but you have both reassured me.

I've always worked by the rule anything over 38.5 means off to the doc.
