He is much better now (hes 14 so you'd hope so) I watch videos of him as a child (like 3 year old) and I wonder how i made out what he was saying - Josh also wonders.
I would def get ears checked as this was part of Josh's problem the problem with the ears was we would get refered to specialist adn it would clear up so get sent away again.. grrr I really think he should of had gromits in.

Edited by AnnC

Turns out she has what is called an interdental lisp, basically means her teeth are too small to hold her tongue back when she makes some sounds and once she gets her adult teeth it should self correct.

We have just done weeks of one on one speech therapy. They say he is within the normal range but more towards the bottom of the range.
As Teresa said, go to your GP and get his hearing tested, that can make a huge difference and then if there is nothing wrong that they can detect they can refer you to the hearing department at your hospital and they can then refer for speech therapy if need be. There is quite a range of acceptable level of speech so it really is hard to gauge but I know for example my sons childcare havent noticed any problems with kobes speech whereas our cleft clinic did so I wouldnt worry yet just get along to your doctor.
