hehe we bought art supplies from the warehosue to but she took to our walls with them so they keep getting banned (another downside to renting lol).
the last couple of days have been quite good though, ive only had to warn her a few times and she stops so thats been good, only odd bit of bad behaviour but i canhandle that, cant expect ehr to be an angel 24/7.

Hi Haleigh's Mum

You definitely have my sympathies as all the behaviour you described was what my little girl was doing until recently, our wee ones are very close in age.
It must be so hard looking after a newborn as well as dealing with a toddler throwing tantrums.

I just wanted to reassure you that there is light at the end of the tunnel as in the last few weeks we have far less tantrums here as I think my little girl is getting better at communicating and expressing herself so hopefully Haleigh will outgrow this soon too.

I have bought lots of arty stuff like an art kit from the Warehouse which was only afew dollars, lots of colouring books and paper, stickers, play doh, etc, and this gives me a break and keeps her amused for ages.

thing is me and haleigh do have mumm and boo time, & she helps out with james. we do things when james is down, and when hes awake having his playtime, i read her stories all the time but she loses interest quickly.
its more when i busy with him, or i cant give her my undivided attention, or simply that she jsut didnt get her own way.

At our local library is a series of books called "Your Child at Play", it covers all the ages from 0 to 5 and talks through their development and what they're needing at each age. If you could work out some special time with Haleigh each morning or something, that may help. Also getting her involved in "our" new baby etc, like putting dirty nappies out or letting her hold him (with your help of course). I have a similar age gap with my kids, it's hard work but it pays off and the rivalry doesn't last too long, because Haleigh is young she'll get used to it much faster than a 3yo.

When Hannah was Haleigh's age we used to have little moments of just painting our nails: I'd do hers and then while they dried she'd watch me do mine. well after i let out my steam in this post she came up to me and gave me a huge hug, then proceeded to empty the dishwasher for me and started handing me the clean plates and things.
made me feel bad for being so grumpy with her.
now shes being a wee angel.
now shes trying to take the washing off the clothes horse (still slightly damp but thats ok) and screwing them up putting them on the table (must be er way of trying to fold .

leish, would love to make it to the meet up but cant today , got my aunty and cousins coming over this morning.

super nanny has a book??

I dont know what to do with HAleigh, in the past month all shes done is grizzled non stop, thrown tantrum after tantrum, ignored us when we tell her no, scream uncontrolably, one minute eat and the next not, bashing on the pantry for food, getting into the dishwasher and pulling out my dishes, throwing things at us, hitting us, biting, and jsut plain not listening when shes told off she laughs at me and carries on.
I have jsut about had enough.
It was bad enough when I was pregnant but now that JAems is here its even harder, everytime he needs me (feed time and nappy change) she just goes out of control, and I find myslef yelling non stop cause I cant get up to stop in her tracks and saying no jsut doesnt do it, even timeout doesnt work.

this mornign she woke up screaming at 430am and has not stop screaming at me since she woke up and wants wants wants, its driving me absolutely mental.

I cant get out of the hosue cause of the weather lately and i cant walk in the rain so getting out isnt an option.
I feel bad cause Im constantly telling her off, I miss my happy girl, who behaved most of the time.

I never knew the terrible 2s were this bad.
