Five Little Ducks, by Ian Beck

One of my favourite songs to sing to my daughter at bathtime is "Five little ducks went swimming one day..." while splashing with her rubber duck collection. This charming book is essentially an illustration of the song, but the story is slightly different -- as the ducks swim and play, one by one they wander off. There's a fox lurking throughout the book and the reader isn't quite sure what's happening to the ducks until the very end, when the Mama Duck finds them all nestled together in the garden shed. It's a very cute picture book for young readers, and would be great reading for babies too.
