DIY: Decorative Orbs
Thanks Julie Stuart from Clever Poppy for sharing how to make
these gorgeous hanging paper orbs.
You will need:
● Post-It Super Sticky Notes
● Polystyrene orbs
● Clear fishing nylon
● Masking tape
● Thumb tacks
● Scissors
● A bowl
Pop your orb in a bowl to keep it steady, and wrap and secure fishing nylon around it with tape to create a hanging mechanism. Leave a long piece of nylon free to hang the orb.
Add some curve to your Post-It Notes. Simply grab the stack of colours you like, and then break them into manageable sections. Cut away a curved shape at the bottom.
Starting on the bottom of your orb, stick on four curved notes facing each other to make a square shape (all the curved sides facing in).
Add curved notes in layers until you get halfway up the orb. Flip the orb around so that it's right-side up, being careful of the layers now in the bowl.
