I bought this seat based on the good reviews and reputable brand. I've found 2 issues with the design though, wonder if any other parents have these same issues 1 - The tether strap to tighten up baby does not even pull. I have to put my hand down the back of the seat and pull the straps tight, and pull the tether strap with my other hand. 2 - there is no additional buckle at the baby's chest (Unless I'm missing it somewhere?) My 2 year old always takes his arms out of the shoulder straps. We have 2 safety 1st seats in each grandparent's car and dont have these issues.

We love this seat. Have been using it for 4 years (2 children) and its still as good as new. Cant complain at all, we have been extreamly happy with it and wouldnt want anything else.

We love this carseat too... it is fantastic in both rear and forward facing positions, it is a big seat but is the preferred option for us especially for big trips as sleep appears more comfortable for our almost 2 year old (no head flopping).

We now have 2 Safe N Sound car seats and we are generally quite happy with them. We have never used the sun visor or the padded insert for babies (I had 2 big bubbas). The seats fit my kiddies well and they have seemed quite comfortable in them I did have trouble tightening the straps until I worked out that if I stick my hand behind the seat and pull down on the metal bit the seatbelt attaches to, this tightens it over the shoulders and gives enough slack to be able to pull the strap at the front - it's second nature to me now. DD (3yrs) is still in her Meridian and DS is happy in the Royale.

overall i like this car seat but a couple of issues i have with it are that the clips don't always click in properly even after i hear a click and it can be hard to push it in. the other issue is that i find it really hard to tighten the straps when it is rear facing.

I bought one of these for my second child and wish i had had it with my first. It is a lovely looking chair that is so comfortable for my baby. It has plenty of room for her to kick around. It is a large carseat however i have still managed to fit 3 carseats along the backseat of my Ford Escape. Although in the rear facing position it wouldnt be suitable for a small car unless you dont care to sit in the front and still have leg room haha (lucky i have a big car). It doesnt have a chest strap across the front which isnt an issue now but may be when she is forwards facing and tries to get out so i think ill have to purchase a hooduni strap or something similar. The insert also easily comes out for cleaning out food hehe. Overall im very happy with it and will be upgrading my older child to a SnS booster to.

The Safe N Sound Roale carseat has ticked every box for us. We bought this carseat as we were experiencing trouble with my sons head slumping forward in another car seat style. The two recline function when it is rear facing, fixes all of that. It is lovely and cushioned, making it a dream on longer trips. The material also breathes so it doesnt get too hot but is still lovely and soft to sink into. The manual harness adjustment is a bit tricky at times, if you have released the straps for a bit of slack to get the childs arms through and then try and tighten it, often it doesnt tighten easily. You need some real muscle to pull the strap through to tighten. I have one, my partner has one and my parents are getting one for when they babysit- says it all really.

I did a lot of research on car seats before purchasing the safe and sound, it was by far the best and does everything you need it to do. Is easy to use if you follow the instructions and we would still be using it for our two year old if there wasnt a newborn on the way. The fact that they are made to last twice as long as others on the market makes it worth the investment..

Love Love Love this seat, it is worth every cent. Only prob i found is rear facing it does take up alot of room. But im very happy with it and would not have any other.

We bought this car seat and have used it from day one with our baby. We have found it to be fantastic. Our baby is now 9 months and it is still great. As he grows you just move the straps higher and eventually he will face forwards in it. It is such a great feeling knowing that your little one is secure and safe. The straps are soft and are easy to clip in and the seat has plenty of support and padding. It is fab that some of the padding can be removed as our little one grows. I think this car seat is most definitely value for money and I wouldnt hesitate to buy one again.

Comparing to the many other seats available in NZ this seat is no more than that. It has low weight limits for both rear and forward facing (12 & 18kgs). Difficult to get a rock solid install in many (if any cars, and this is from a registered child restraint technician & founder of NZ Child Restraints www.childrestraints.co.nz). Spend a tad more and get a good long lasting seat with superior safety rating and comfort, like the Radian XTSL, soon to be Diono, Evenflo Symphony/E3, Safety 1st Complete Air, or even the Brio Zento. Even for low cost rear facing the Cosco Scenera to 16kgs (newer models to 18kgs).

I cant stand this car seat, I am saving for a new one at the moment. The extra padding always moves around so I am constantly having to adjust and get it into place. The sun visor is pathetic, my son pulls at it and it comes off so it's a waste of time putting it back on. Also the fabric at the front near the push button/stabilising bar comes unstuck from my son rubbing his feet on it. My son is only 8 months old and we have been using the car seat for 2 months, I cant wait until we can buy a new one!
