I recently bought one of these for my one year old son who has been drinking out of a straw bottle since he was 6 months and I really don't like this one TBH. First issue is he can't open it himself as it is really stiff - somedays even I struggle with it - whereas he can the other brands we have and the second issue is the flap bit is way to big so it hits his nose when he is trying to drink out of it which just makes him frustrated. Asides from this I think it is great that it does not leak like a few of the other brands we have - I think TT need to make the flap smaller and it not so stiff then it would be a fab bottle.

I'm so glad we were one of the lucky families who were chosen to trial these cups! My little girl is only 15 months and is breastfed so has never really got the hang of drinking out of a sippy cup or one of her brothers water bottles. When the bottle arrived she was so intrigued by it, the one we got was a gorgeous purple and pink colour, perfect for my princess! (Although her almost 3 year old brother loves it too ;) she has quickly learnt how to drink through the straw which has made things loads easier for me and I love the non-spill lid, my carpets will be forever thankful!! So all in all a fantastic product! Thanks so so much :)

The minute my 3 1/2 year old saw this cup, she decided it was for her, so she 'test drove' this one. She found it easy to drink from and hold, and loved the colour and pattern. The straw folds down and is covered by a flip top for protection. This is a great feature, and easy to manage by Anika (but, she is three, I imagine younger children might find it a bit more difficult). The screw top ensures simple filling and the cup is a good size for pleny of fluids. Anika just loves her new cup and it's a bright addition to our pantry :)

I was one of the lucky ladies to try the Tommee Tippee Discovera 12+ mths. As soon as I took it out of the packaging DS held his hand out for it. I hadn't even washed it before he wanted to examine it. Once it was washed I filled it up wtih water. To flick the straw out was very stiff, but I imagine once its been used a few times it will come easier. I'm working on DS to get his sucking motion working so he gets the water, rather than tipping it up like a cup and wondering why he's not getting the water. I like the fact that its insulated so the water will stay nice a cool, especially in the warmer weather, when it comes back. With the pictures on the bottle, its keep DS keen to have 'his' bottle when he sees up drinking our water bottles. The big plus is its NON SPILL which is a must with young kiddies. The only drawback and only minor is you can't tell how much water is left in the bottle, but the fact that the bottle is more interesting that others on the market make it a very minute drawback.

I was one of the lucky ones to be chosen to review the Tommee Tippee Discovera active straw and here are my thoughts; BACKGROUND: 13 mnth old boy has been adverse to change from bottle to any other type of drinking cup...so you can already see my challenge! Only 2 weeks ago I managed to get him drinking water from a training cup that leaks everywhere so not ideal. THE CUP: Our lime green very funky Tommee Tippee Active straw arrived and straight away it was a hit on style alone with my boy! The colours lime and purple are eye catching and stylish and my boy was the first to spot the animals on the side. With alot of excited jibber jabber we pointed out there was a giraffe AND a turtle on the side among other animals which if you know my boy is sooo exciting he loves saying 'raffe' and 'urtle'. CUP USE: The reason I went into detail above about the look of the cup is because I beleive that since it was so interesting to my boy he was keen to try more with the cup as opposed to others with nothing eyecatching on the side. So I filled it with water...held my breath and handed him the cup and straight away he put the straw to his mouth and tried to drink! Could have knocked me over with a feather! Now he wasnt able to get the hang of it straight away but pretty close and enough to keep him happy. Over the last few days we have tried some more each day and now he is happily sipping on his own. OVERALL: My 13mnth old loved it on sight alone and after having some really tricky times with training cups over the past few months he is drinking on his own within a few days with the active cup and thinks he is very clever. I did find the first time I flicked the lid off it was stiff and took a bit of jiggling but it was only the once and it is very easy now. We have NO SPILLS and it is easy to clean. Overall I would recommend the active straw it seems strong and well made just what you need in a toddlers cup that is bound to get the works! Thank you so much for giving me the chance to review! :)

We have one of these and my boy can't open it himself so it's really annoying. He can close it easy enough tho. Oh, and the lid sort of sticks into his nose as he drinks so that's not so good either. Apart from that, have had no probs with leaking or anything.

I would love to trial this. My son has a straw bottle which keeps leaking and I am keen for a different one. He drinks a lot of water and likes to take his bottle with him to bed in the afternoon and his bed often gets wet from it...
