I've only had my new Explorer a few days but so far I'm loving it. I had been looking at second hand sports & dashs on trademe but reading reviews the complaints about the brake being too stiff on the sport & needing 2 hands on the dash plus a few other things seemed to pop up way to much but reading about the new explorer they seemed to have addressed these problems so we went mad & bought a new one. I needed a stroller for 2 since the arrival of our second & my 2 year old thinks the toddler seat is just the best thing since sliced bread, she can climb into the doubles kit by herself whether its on top or down below (with the bar removed obviously) & they have changed the weighting in this model so that a toddler can't tip it as easily as in older models, she can climb into the toddler seat at the back with no child up the front & not tip it, she also thinks the sun hood is great as she can pull it all the way over her head & hide behind it, but yes it will also serve its purpose at being able to be positioned to clock the sun no matter where it is. My 2 month old slept comfortably underneath the doubles kit the whole time we were out today & its super easy to drop the seat down to flat for him with the toggle at the back, I understand in he sport there are a lot of fiddly zips so this sounds much easier. My old stroller was a travel system & I really wanted a stroller that could take a capsule & a toddler seat & this seemed to be one of very few so all in all I think I have found the stroller that does it all for me :)

The new P&T Explorer is fanatstic. Phil and Teds have listened to the feedback about the sport and the tweaks are well worth giving it some serious consideration. I've had the E3 V2, and a sport buggy but had to upgrade to the explorer when it came out. The main reasons for this upgrade were the large sunhood (you will know what I mean if you have one of the older models) and the pedal break. The sport had a super stiff break and I had to use my hands to unlock it when the doubles kit was on the back. To be honest the upgrade for these 2 reasons were absolutely worth it. The sun hood is wonderful, esp the pockets on the sides. This buggy seems to have learned some lessons from its cousin the mountain buggy and it handles just a little bit smoother and is also more reactive to small movements. The ability to change the look of the buggy by swapping the seat insert for around $40 is fab, so you can have 2 different colours and change them every time the insert needs a clean! An added bonus with this buggy is the plastic footrest, no more slow walsk up the hill when the little person decides to push down on the foot well slowing the progress of the front wheel. Would recommend this buggy to anyone thinking about a new buggy or upgrading to double. Its smooth to push - even around the rugged Wellington streets and hills, has heaps of seating arrangements (esp for 2nd or 3rd babies etc) with the option to attach your capsule and the doubles kit, is durable, and has all the usual P&T style. as a mother of 3 I can sefelty say that if you buy this buggy its will have you covered and serve you well. We love our explorer, thank you Phil and Teds :-)
