Mexican Fiesta
Theme
Fiesta! Plenty of bright colours and tasty treats for the kids, Mexican food and Margaritas for the grown ups.
The food
Guests built their own Mexican feast with choices of soft tacos, nachos with beef and refried beans, grilled chipotle chicken and lots of sides, including guacamole and salsa.
Margaritas were served in recycled baby food jars.
The cake
An amazing Hummingbird cake with cream cheese icing, made by Danielle at Spongedrop
Decorations
• Papel Picado bunting and striped straws from Iko Iko.
• Hessian, blocks of wood and glass jars kept the scene simple but stylish
• Vibrant fans from looksharpstore.co.nz.
Xavier’s friends all got a little wooden maraca to take home as a party favour.
And the birthday boy?
Xavier had a huge smile on his face the whole time. After there hours of being the centre of attention though he was ready for a nap.
